Happy Autumn! Wow!...It's been a long time since I last posted. What's been going on?....Life! October is a big birthday month for our family and the C.O.G.I.C. Conference was at the beginning of November, then gobble, gobble, it was Thanksgiving. Plus I've has several classes throughout the months. Can you believe it, in just a few days it will be December! I've got lot's planned for 2018. Keep checking.

Cruising For A Cause

The Youth & Family Center had a wonderful dinner auction to raise money for the Center.  The theme was Cruising  For A Cause - Cape Town South Africa. We took the journey in the beautifully decorated multipurpose gym transposed to give you the feel of being on location in Cape Town. Delicious food, fabulous entertainment and thousands of dollars raised.  The auction consisted of everything from trips, restaurants to art and jewelry.  The awesome thing about the art and the jewelry. . . it was all made by the kids from the Center. A few of them were students from my etiquette classes! What a blessing! Looking forward to attending next year!  Join me.

Prayer Tea

The 2nd Annual NAUEP Hats & Pearls Tea is just a few months away! Get Ready! The theme is Teatime & Prayer. This year I am putting a little twist on the tea. I am having a Tea Table Decorating contest! Register now to decorate a table for 8 with beautiful tea place settings. You will get one bare round table. .. you take from there! Be creative! There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.  Also, you can invite friends to sit at your table or leave it for open seating. Tickets for the tea are $20 per person. The cost to enter the decorating contest is $25, which includes your admission for the tea. Gentleman Etiquette Class Enrollment Now Open!

I teach a course called Ladylike and Gentleman Behavior. It is a class for youth. It teaches the girls how to be young ladies with poise and grace (Melania Trump beautifully portrays those qualities). The class also teaches the boys how to be gentlemen. In doing so, the gentleman helps to assist ladies with doors, steps, chairs, and coats, nor does he leave her lingering behind when they are together. It looks like someone needs enroll in my next class!

Tea Etiquette at McClay ADC

The residents of the McClay ADC Center participated in my Tea Etiquette Class during January's Hot Tea Month.  The ladies were dressed in red and purple hats, pearls, and gloves. Not only did the ladies participate, but a few men joined too. I think it was mostly for the delicious finger sandwiches and pastries! Anyway. . . Real men drink hot tea!!! It was a lot of fun! They drank a lot of tea. . . I promise, it was straight tea too!

The weather forecasters are predicating snow later this week, and it's to be expected, after all, it is Wintertime. January is also National Hot Tea Month. It's time to sit down by a  cozy crackling, warm fire and sip on a hot cup of aromatic tea. Actually, tea is enjoyable anytime of the year. There is also a lot of interesting facts about tea.
